Andrew Paul Kawongo
Andrew Paul Kawongo is one of the founding members of Camel Communities and Secretary to the Board of Directors.
Currently, Andrew is a Project Manager for Geared For Success Project in a consortium of War Child Canada, OXFAM, Refugee Led Organisations (RELON) Youth Advocacy Network (YSAT) and CECI implemented in West Nile, South Sudan and Canada. Prior to this role, Andrew served as an Education Advisor with ZOA international Uganda Country Program, Deputy Consortium Manager – Education Can Not Wait (ECW) Save the Children UNICEF hosted emergency education fund. He has also worked as a Program Coordinator USAID/RTI Literacy Achievement and Retention Activity. Prior to this USAID/ RTI engagement, he worked with Citizens Election Observers Network Uganda CEON-U in the capacity of Training Manager where he headed the Training and partnership department until 30th/6/2016.
He has worked as an Expatriate Teacher Trainer on a 3 year USAID Teacher Training Project in Rwanda, a Lead Researcher on 2 UN Research Projects, a Senior Director of Education with Promoting Equality in African Schools PEAS and a Training and Curriculum Development Consultant for the UKAID Girl Child Education Project.
He holds a BA. Education Degree, MA. Educational Policy and Planning from Makerere University Kampala Uganda. He is also a PhD candidate Educational Planning and Management in Makerere University.
